PROGRAMS
The Legacy of Champions Foundation has structured several youth outreach programs that will empower participants through active engagement. Workshops with trained facilitators will provide invaluable social, technological, cultural and athletic tools to prepare participants with key tools for life. Analytical and critical thinking skills will be taught through rigorous reading and writing exercises; coupled with life skills tools that will further direct them towards becoming productive community agents. Programmatic components will also include mentoring and tutoring programs, field trips and sports activities.
LOC Skills & Drills Basketball Camp
The summer basketball program will allow young women to learn and develop the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship while learning and/or mastering basketball techniques at the Jacques Curtis Skills & Drills Basketball Camp. Coach Curtis and veteran basketball players will teach concepts and skills that will instill discipline, develop leadership and strong social skills.
Read to Achieve Program
The “Read to Achieve” initiative is a structured program designed to motivate, enhance and strengthen reading and writing skills for all participants that will directly increase academic performance. The goals of the program will also promote the "love of reading" through interactive projects.
Big Sister Program
A special mentorship, this program is designed to help provide structured and nurturing guidance to participants to positively influence present and future goals. The program promotes consistency and balance that is blended with having fun, sharing new experiences and extending that special "big sisterly" shoulder as needed.

From beginning to experienced speakers, Toastmasters develops confidence and poise in any situation, whether business or social. Participants that are interested are welcome to attend any of the meetings to explore the camaraderie and benefits of this Club within the foundation.
